Symposium Information

Don't miss this event! If you are not certain that this may be a worthwhile event to attend, please review the following information. It is provided to assist you in your decision whether the WR-ALC Requirement Symposium 2011  event is where you need to be on 15 - 17  Nov  2011.

Requirements Symposium 2011  Purpose:  This requirements symposium is a unique three-day event (day one provides an opportunity to participate in an optional golf tournament) where senior managers from Robins AFB share their vision of the future and present their mission requirements for the next few years.  This insight into future programs at Robins AFB and the Air Logistics Center allows aerospace industries and businesses to plan for changing requirements and to better prepare to meet the needs of the War Fighter.

Technology Insertion Presentation:  In addition to many buy requirements and informational briefings, the symposium will include a session on WR-ALC and Robins AFB Technology Insertion needs. The Technology Insertion briefing will address the structure and methods used in (1) developing technology needs, (2) establishing funding for the solution, and (3) opportunities for businesses to engage in these efforts.

Who Sponsors this Annual Event and Where Is It Held?   The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce and their sub-committee, the Aerospace Industry Committee (AIC) co-sponsor this event with Warner Robins Air Logistics Center.   This symposium began in 2003 and this year’s event will be our 9th Annual Requirements Symposium to preview currently planned WR-ALC future year requirements with industry.   The event will be held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter, Perry GA (click here for a link to the their web site with maps, hotel info).

Meeting Itinerary:  Please see the Agenda on the requirement symposium web site for the latest meeting itinerary. While the first day’s events take place in Warner Robins at the Base golf course and the Museum of Aviation, the second and third day’s events will take place at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia. The second half of day two and continuing throughout all of day three will be packed with a wide range of “Break-Out Sessions.” These individualized briefings will be in-depth discussions on specific target areas of opportunity that define requirements and/or challenges currently experienced by WR-ALC managed weapon systems and commodities. You will have an opportunity to meet the Program Managers, Engineers, and the technical and acquisition community members who acquire and sustain weapon systems or commodities in each area discussed. A complete listing (once finalized by WR-ALC and Robins AFB) will be posted under the Agenda selection positioned on the left-hand side of the symposium web site screen. The agenda for the event will have periodic updates as additional information becomes available. Please review the symposium Agenda for the latest information.
