Topic # 5: Control Surfaces Structures Commodity Class Contract Effort
Synopsis: This effort will select production sources in Federal Stock Class (FSC) 1560 that have an Acquisition Method Code/Acquisition Method Suffix Code (AMC/AMSC) of 1G, 2G, 1M, 2M, 1K, and 2K. In accordance with the commodity council charter, an enterprise level strategy is necessary to leverage buying between the Air Logistics Centers (ALCs) in order to obtain Purchasing Supply Chain Management (PSCM) goals. This effort will result in a proposed eight year corporate contract estimated at approximately $82M and will be available for use by all three ALCs.

Topic # 20: Boresights Synopsis: Boresight equipment is used to align critical aircraft avionics, navigation and weapon systems. Boresighting is performed when excessive G-loads or unusually violent maneuvers occur, if an aircraft experiences a hard landing, if structural damage or repairs are performed, or if the pilot reports a discrepancy.
